Okay, so I orered some UDP's. Now I'm having second thoughts about them. Is slowing your alternator and some other things really good for the car? Won't it heat faster? Are the performance gains worth the wear and tear on the engine? Does it abuse the engine anymore than normal?

Someone gimme a hand here, I really would like to know what they do to your engine before I go and install them.

only thing i've heard about getting underdrive pullies is if you run a lot of accesories like neons, or an audio system that pushes a lot of watts (maybe) then it could pull too much power away from your engine, not sure what happens after that

Your alternator will not slow down and you won't have charging problems.

Less rotating mass = less stress on the engine.

they are good. i have steeda pulleys and they made for a nice bump. the steering get's a bit harder when the car is not moving, other than that i've not noticed much difference other than a bit more power. i've no charging problems. i installed an engine oil cooler to mitigate the decrease in cooling for the summer time, but that's just me. most people don't experience cooling problems.
