Default Ported Eaton...

I haveheard of several people having'03-'04 Cobra's w/ported eaton's. I'm just wondering 1st off what that means, and second off how you do it. This is apparently a mod for the terminators and I'm wondering if it would be one to look into for mine.

Right underneath where the opening is for the supercharger to send air directly into the motor is what gets ported (that hole gets enlarged a bit).

would definately leave it to a shop for the same reason you wouldnt wanna port your TB/PLEN on a N/A motor unless you know what your doing. air turbulence can have a negative effect on HP. this isnt something the average joe would wanna do with a dremmel in his garage.

ported eaton with a smaller pulley and some basic boltons will get a termi to about 500rwhp. anything over that and you're gonna want a better blower.

is it something you wanna look into? donno. what are your HP expectations for the car and how much are you willing to spend? your gonna have to get the car tuned after you port the blower. i imagine doing this will be well over a grand.

I would like to get my car around 500hp give or take. It is my daily driver, so I'm not looking to get crazy with it. I definitely plan on getting it tuned in the near future along w/a 2.8 s/c pulley I'm getting from a friend.I ordereda MACo/r H,Borla Stingers and along with the tune and s/c pulley I don't know how much else I would want to do. I justknow I've seen vids of portedeatons and they sound pretty sick, surelyputting outsomenice gains. How muchwould it cost to get it ported?

I'm with you on this one trip643dp. I'm picking up my termi from the dealer this monday and I already know everything in it is bone stock and I think I want to get the blower ported + smaller pulley + tune and a few other little things (lets not forget the exhaust), since I dont have over 5k to drop on a KB =)

This is who you want to talk to:

http://www.stiegemeier.com/

steggy port FTW! A local 03 cobra with midpipe/catback/inlet boltons, ported eaton, pulley, tune, and a few suspension parts (to strengthen the IRS) went 11.40s@121+ MPH.

Thanks man! That site helped answer alot of questions for me like cost and who I should go to. They have a ton of pos. feedback.
For the money I think i would go with the Stage 5+ Accufab welded PL for Max opening at PL to blower housing inlet option.
My only concern is how long will my car be off the road for while it's being ported..

I believe when you order they send you a new ported blower, and you send them back your old one. They add like $500 core charge, and when you send back your old blower you get it back. You'll only be down the time it takes to swap blowers.
