How fast will it go
as in top speed? i've done about 140 (my eyes werent glued to the speedo). not many long/strait roads here for me to do a top speed run or i would have done it already. best road to do it on close to here is also part of base. and i'm not really wanting to be in the commanders office explaining why i was doing over 3x the speed limit if i ever got pulled over.
Why would you ever want to go that fast? It just seems a bit dumb to me.
I mean I'm not gonna lie, I do my fair share of small street races its usually just the 1-2 shift from a light and then back down to cruisin speed.
dennis_112....I assume that you live in Ohio and around the Dayton area since your blower was installed by Dayton Performance ......Where exactly are you located? I'm about 15 mins. south of Dayton
Sorry to jack the thread, I had to ask

The fastest i have had my car up to was 135-140 ish (maybe) but my car seems to not wana go any faster then 120 when it gets up there. not sure if its be governed or what.
I did that back when it was stock. Since then i have put on exhaust and a CAI. Maybe now that it'll move air a lil better i'll get a better number outta it.
PS...it did take a while to get there.

In stock form the new-edge Mustangs top out around 140-145 mph, running out of horsepower to go any faster at just under 4k rpm in 5th gear--you will not get there quickly, that last 10 to 12 mph will take a while as the engine output and required HP merge. It takes approximately 170 HP to push one of out cars to 140 mph, 190 HP to reach 145 mph, and 210 to do150 (here's my charting tool for this, assuming level ground and no wind of any matter). The second column in the table shows the engine rpm for 3.27, 3.73, and 4.10 gears (and the 3650 tranny), if you have a dyno chart for your engine you find the place at which the engine rpm and required horsepower meet and get a very close guesstimate of your car's top speed. Dead stock a new-edge will put out 170 HP or so at 3800 to 4000 rpm, that makes top speed 140 to 145.
Hmm, I had my blue GT up to about 135-140 back home, but Ive never had my current car over about 105-110. Roads arent straight, too much traffic, and Im tryin to avoid the whole jail thing. But to the OP, noone cars what the top speed is, its all about how fast it can get there.
Ps.. according to cliffyk's little tool my car should be cabable of 190mph.... to bad my ***** are only good to about 140.
