Regular Maintenance
My 2003 GT has 48,000 miles on it (owner before had a 120 mile highway daily commute). Is there any maintenance I should get done before I start modding it? (Tune up, spark plugs, any type of engine work?

RE: Regular Maintenance
yes, they plugs are easy to change. i have an 03, and just did the plugs over te weekend. All you have to do, is loosen the little bolt on the coilpack (its a 7mm i beleive), then you can just pull it out from under the fuelrail, and remove it from the spark plug. I had to use 2 extensions to get out the plugs, but thats just because it made it easier. all you have to take off is the intake from the throttle body. just losen the tensioner screw and pull it off. Be careful on the back 2 plugs, as they are slanted, so make sure you dont get your ratchet stuck. MAKE SURE YOU DONT STRIP ANYTHING! I used NGK Coppers, and they are gapped to .054. All in alll, it took me a litttle over an hour to change all eight. Also, it makes it alot easier to work with the coilpaacks, if you remove the clip from theback of them before reinstalling them.
hope this helps
