My keless is in the same boat. Some days i will have to sit outside of my car for like 3 mins trying to get it to disarm, and other days it will work. I also replaced the battery and nothing...im thinkin we may need to go to ford and just get a whole new remote...??

Whats the problem? Is it that the doors wont unlock or that the car shuts down after starting?

I think the OP is saying that his remote just stopped working... like the battery was dead and it wont lock or unlock the doors... correct?

If thats the case, then the remote may have moisture damage. Try taking it apart and use a pencil eraser to clean the circuit board and battery contacts for oxidation. If that doesn't work then the remote may be bad or the control module may be bad. (module would be in the driver kick panel or trunk)

in my remote one of the connectors to the unlock button is broken and the owner before me must have dunked the thing in cola because the unlock and lock buttons are all sticky so it makes them hard to press, i need to get a whole new remote.
