Default side exit exhaust

i am new to this site. i own a 96 gt convertible. i just put the car back on the road after being stored for six years, and wanted to to put a side exit exhaust on it. borla used to make a kit but now they don't. does anyone know if there are any side exit exhaust kits out there. all i can find is mufflers w/ the inlet and oulet on the same side. thanks for the help

I believe it is a Roush Stage 2 that has it. But thats on the new edges. not sure about yours......might need to go custom?!

i saw the mufflers for sale on roush's site. but that was it just mufflers

Texas Mustangs had them at one point. Also, I know ABCexclusive sells the side skirts, but not sure about the exhaust system as well. May have to go custom. You may try FNSweet.com and see if any of the Roush guys have some of the kits for sell. Good luck.

ya theres another big post in the 4.6 general discussion area or maybe this area, look back a day or 2 and youl see it. Theres alot of good info about the side exit exaust. Most people say its smart to just go the custom route because the Roush kit is extremely expensive. Its your decision though. I love the side exaust so im sure it will come out nice...good luck

Isn't the side exhaust kind of loud? I know I wouldn't want mine blowing in my ears. Just a thought.

The side exhuast is cool, but if you go that rout i don't think you will be able to add sub frame connectors. That's for 99-04, i don't know about the 96.
