CEL after TB and plenum install

CEL after TB and plenum install
Hey ya'll, I just installed a BBK 75mm TB and a Dragon intake plenum on my '02 GT. Instead of messing with my stripping -out screws on the TPS, I bought a new one. Shortly after the install, I popped a CEL for TPS input circuit low voltage. I referenced it at Autozone(ie. WORK) and it calls for replacing the TPS. Its a brand new TPS, so any other ideas? I can return this one, but the car runs fine. ?

Well, I'm gonna clear the code when I get to work tonight, and then see what happens. If nothing, then I will dis-connect the batt. overnight and see if the computer will re-learn tom. Mainly wanting to see if anybody else has hadthis problem, and what they have done about it.

It could be the wrong model or a defect.
Reseat the connector.
Adjust it to .98 volts or so, this shouldn't be needed as it rezeros when the ignition turns on, but it can't hurt things to do it anyway.
Are you sure you got the little arm on the TPS in the slot for the throttle body?
You have to kind of turn it a little and then slip it into the slot.

RE: CEL after TB and plenum install
I had a similar problem a couple of years ago after my TB install. Gota check engine light. The angle that you attach the TPS to the TB determines the voltage (Very slight adjustments up or down on the 2 screws). It needs to be 0.98 or you will throw a code. Google "TPS voltage" and you should be able to find out exactly what to do to check it. I used a couple of pins into the connecting wires and a multimeter. Basically you loosen the screws, adjust til the voltage reads correct, and tighten. (Ignition needs to be on). Otherthan a badTPS, thatshould beit.
