ok im looking at all thsese websites just to get an exact number cuz i couldnt remember if it is 245 or 265...but sum websites are saying 215 hp in the 4.6 L in 1996??? is that right?? I know the 5.0 had 215... and i thought in 96 the 4.6 had at least 245

LIVIN LEGEND You have a good looking 99+ GT. Most of the ones i see just dont look that good. Your rims are sweet. I have a 98 black GT and i love it. So dont be saying only get a 99+ GT. You can also get a 98 !

99-2004 gt's are way faster then stock 5.0's. Every year from 96 when the first 4.6 came out the intake manifolds got better and better.

A manual 99+ GT has about 225 hp to the wheels, there's 260 produced by the engine. Why would you want a 98 that comes with nearly 40 less hp.

kubball is right, 99+ is alot better...it may not be what ur looking for, but it if u want the horsepower stock wise, well then get the newer year, they improve every year...better every year, not to sound cocky to the lower years in any way tho, some of the 98 are faster than my 03 gt...they got some pretty nice parts in em tho too...

long sentence short, "higer year, higher horsepower"
