fan running to much?
Hey guys, once my car gets up to operating temperature, the fan stays on. I know it should cool the fluid down and shut off, but it isn't. Once it's warm its on. I replaced the fan and sensor in the fan, didn't fix the problem. And no, my ACor defroster isn't on.Do you think itcould be my radiator? I noticed that the bracket that the radiator sits on is bent upward, which leads me to believe that the frontend had some damage previously. Any suggestions?

If you're just cruising around or idling in traffic it should be on most/if not all the time on a hot day. If you're going down the highway is the only time it should really be off.

Yeah, it comes on even on a cool day, like 50 degrees. I can't really hear it going down the highway, but it's on when i stop from going down the highway. i think it runs too much!

If you really felt brave, you could wire the fan to a switch, so you can set it to run when you want it to since you seem to know the cars temp better than the car does[&:]

well, anytime the ac is on or the defrost is on the fan should be on

So, if you have a handheld see when you activate the high/low speed fan settings. Other than that dude if it's not causing a problem and the only thing it's doing is turning on and off I don't see why it's a huge deal. I mean I know that your 4v heads have a tendency to drop valve seats out on because of cooling issues, so I don't see why you wouldn't want the fan on.
