Hmmmm, tough call. I would probably do the cams...that way when you are ready to upgrade, you can sell the cams and buy a head/cams combo.

Car is bascially stock except for an intake and 3.73's

Where would the better gain come from?

Do both I would personally do the P&P, but cams would be nice too.

You could always do exhaust.

I want to get my car up to par with the newer GT's, I mean the way i look at it, im spending about 750$ on exhaust, 500$ MAM to TB, 300$ on misc, that wouldnt even get me close to the gains from the PI swap,

Would it be bad to have cams or p&P on such a stock car?

definately cams, do you have any idea what it takes to pull the heads off your car? how bout 18 hours labor. If you don't do it yourself the labors gonna cost you around $1000 - not to mention putting stock cams on a car with ported heads is kinda counter productive. And, for ported heads your gonna want higher lift cams with more duration to take advantage of the portwork... meaning you'll need valve springs as well and thats another $200

Either go cams or get blown, thats my advice.

thanks MD, Im having a certified mechanic friend of mine do the install for me over one weekend, hes gonna do it all for 400-500 he said, which i think is fair considering most shops quoted me 1300, cams installed as well
So i furgue ill go with some VT stagee 1's then.

what kind of hp gain can be anticipated for a almost stock mustang, ive seen charts where people have made 25+ rwhp so i unno how much its gonna help me.
