Yesterday was my first time at the track since i put the nittos, catted X, and diablo tune on. Went from a 9.39 @ 76.66mph, to 9.28 @ 77.07mph. But with a perfect launch resulting in a crappy 2.1 60-ft, i feel theres room for improvement.

Currently i have the diablosport canned tune on my car, and i advanced the timing all the way across both ranges. My friend said that might have tweaked my air/fuel ina way thats hurting me, considering the canned tune was for stock mustangs.

Any suggestions? We're thinkin about removing the diablo tune, and just advancing the timing all on its own.

i can tell you right now that with just an exhaust and a tune your not going to be to much faster then your stock time...i mean your not going to gain more then 50hp with just an exhaust and a tuner its just not going to happen...

you are walking into a dangerous area doing stuff like that unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing. i would can a tune from diablo telling them everything you have and have them send it or find a place that uses diablo and have them dyno it if you feel that it is that messed up.

But when my friend with almost the same mods runs an 8.9, kinda makes ya wonder lol.

You moved timing all the way to advanved and you didn't blow any pistons to pieces? [>:]Um you should stick with the performance tune that diablo includes on the tuner before you ruin that 4.6. They dont like detonation.

That is pretty slow. I ran my wifes car with o/r h, flows, 75mm tb/plenum and untouched canned diablo tune on street tires and ran 9.1. Her car is auto and a vert. Maxing the timing on a diablo is nothing. it doesnt give you enough to hurt the car if you run 93 octane.

^^ lol well george has a catted x with tires and a tune.. no o/h no tb/plenum also it says sniper tuned on ur sig not diablo for the vert. plus george did say it was a hot day which it was and was getting faster but track closed i guess..also i dont think he knew how to use the drag radials yet



george this weekend ill do your rear end get that damn thing fix...(reverse burnout) failed and the horrible noises it made.... but yeah im going ot get that bearing pressed on prob friday and itll take like an hour to swap that crap out..prob wont effect much but we will see u need it anyways

Yeah the diablo is sitting in the closet collecting dust now but when I made that run it had the diablo tune. His car should have run around 8.9-9.0 with his mods and tires. Catted x and o/r h hp difference is maybe 3 hp.
