How to store my car outside
Hello again.
I have a 2001 Mustang GT with an absolutely gorgeous paint job. However, due to our garage not being large enough to fit 3 cars, my parent's cars get inside while mine goes outside (Which is completely understandable; their garage, their cars). However, we live in a wooded area, which means small seeds in the Spring (now), and walnuts/acorns in the late summer.
I really, really, really, REALLY don't want falling projectiles to hit my car. Parking on the street would stop that, but I don't think I could sleep with it out there, all alone, with cars flying by and vagrant teenagers throwing rocks at it and vandals breaking it's glass (maybe I'm over-reacting).
I have a car cover that keeps the seeds off of the paint, but it isn't waterproof so rain soaks through and leaves patchwork water marks on my car. Also, I can't imagine it lasting too long (non-waterproof things generally should not be left out in the water).
So, what car cover do you guys recommend for my car? I'd like something waterproof (it'll be out in the rain a lot), relatively heavy to stop the impact of acorns, but breathable so that water doesn't get trapped in between the cover and car. I'll be driving this in the rain, so when I get back home the car will still be wet. I want to put the cover on as soon as possible, but I'd hate for the water already on the car to get trapped and cause problems with the finish.
When the bigger seeds begin to fall, I think I'll just have to move my car in the garage. Currently, it will fit, but the large doors mean I'll have to rest my door on one of my parent's cars to get out, which I DO NOT want to do. Also, when the cars are that close, a gust of wind or a mis-grab means my car is getting slammed with a heavy metal door... which is again very bad.
Anyways, babbling over. Outdoor car cover suggestions?

I love that idea! Unfortunately... my mom isn't too thrilled about it. Something about a huge eye-sore, etc.
So, thanks for the suggestion (It's EXACTLY what I wanted), but I can't make it work.
