Default coolant leak

I have a 1996 Mustang GT. This afternoon after driving 300 miles, my car have developed a coolant leak. It does not appear to be a heater or radiator hose leak. The coolant is sprayed toward the front on the motor and collects there. Is there a coolant hose that runs across the front of the engine. There is a small puddle under the car but most of the coolant is over the front of the engine and on the underside of the hood. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Have you checked to see if your radiator is rotted out?

Yeah..... Here is another suggestion. Look at youre PLASTIC intake and checked the front of it, put pressure to the system and checked to make sure its not leaking from the front of youre intake. Because there were/are serious problems with the plastic intake. If it is ( most likely) then now is a good time to go with the PI intake! Im doing it right now. And im doing a tech write up of it too.

one more possibility, could be a head gasket. Drain the oil pan see if you have coolant in the pan if so, your headgaskets are gone...time to do the PI Swap if you havent already.

9 out of 10 times its like casper said, your thermostat housing is cracked. You need to either A; bye a new Non-pi intake with the aluminum crossover and be a direct fit or B; buy a pi intake and do the swap.

Had the same problem in 96. Took me forever to find it. In my case it was the water pump. It had started leaking out the bottom of the pump seal and running down behind all the pullies. Also dried pretty quick. Finally caught it one day after running down interstate for 10-15 minutes. Good place to look. You can't see it from the top, you'll have to crawl underneath.
