Default where does this ground wire connect?

in my searches to find a short somewhere in my keyless entry/int lights/radio circuit, i found a disconnected ground nearby the power stear pump pulley, only grounded at the strut tower and hanging loose. it looks like an engine ground, but i cant see where it connects to. its a large flat red wire. just wondering if someone can elp me as to were to reconnect it, i hope its the answer to my problems. heres the picture:

im not sure how it came loose, but any ideas where to connect it to?

hmm i figured it would be the HARDEST spot to reattach it ha. im wondering if this being disconnected has anything to do with my interior problems. thanks for the help guys, i doubt i can reattach it to the engine mount, but there are some nearby bolts on the block that should work jus the same.

**oh and this is the drivers side, sorry.

Yes it has alot to do with your interior issues (if they are electrical). It's a ground strap for grounding your engine blockto the kmember since your block is sitting on rubber engine mounts. Your negative battery is connected to your engine block.

Don't even try to reconnect it. It uses a cheap aluminum piece to connect it to the block and when it breaks it's over. Mine broke too. I went to autozone and got a short negative battery cable and replaced the broken cable.

well i put in a new one, nothing changed as far as my interior electrical short, but i dunno maybe this fixed my o2 sensor issue. then again i assume ford had some redundant engine block grounds, so this may have been irrelovant.

I've heard of people putting a ground wire on the other side of the engine in the same spot. I don't know if it will help your interior short issue though. Good luck.
