5.4 SWAPS

5.4 SWAPS
I know this has become more common and would like to hear from those who have done this swap and would appreciate the pro's, con's and details on your set-up such as what you did to the motor, what intake you are using, whose adapters and hood clearance. Rear gearing. Difficulty of the swap, speaking for 5.4 with 2v heads.
My plan is for a 5.4 with ebay forged rotating assemblies, cmpression around 10.4:1 or whatever the npi to pi yields. The forged components alone drop 2lbs, from the rotating assembly! I have 4.10's now but was thinking with my 3400rpm stall converter and the 50+lbs/ft. of torque the 5.4 would have that the stock 3.27's could go back in. For cams I was thinkng Hitsch stage 2's which peak around 5600rpm in a 4.6 so n a 5.4 they would drop around 4-500rpm and that should leave the best shift point at 5500rpm, is that too high for the longer stroke 5.4? For heads I would perhaps go with Patriots as I heard they have better quality control and are putting all of the oil plugs and such into the heads now If the Patriots would hurt torque then I would just have the 5.4 heds reworked with a gasket match and bowl work.
Well for those who have done this as much data as you can give would be appreciated! Mark
