ok im stuck im not sure what i should do! i got a 2000 gt and i wanna get it to around a 10 sec car butim not sure how i wanna go about doing it! i wanna get to around 11 sec without a blower or turbo or spray! my friends dads builds race car engines and im sure he would help me if i wanna build an engine! so do i buy a engine thats built like halfway pistons & crank for 3k or do i just get a stock 4.6 from the bone yard and have my friends dad do it? put the crank and pistons in it and all that? please help

about howmany hp do i need in a stock 00 gt auto to get to 11 sec?

about 10 to 15grand will get you in the 10 sec range but good luck doing it with out spray or forced induction. if your friends dad builds racing engines why not ask him first?????

ok well i just did a lil resarching and found out that the block itself is strong but the internals are what goes out rods and pistons and ect. so if i get a stock 4.6 block and build it i should be pretty good right? can anyone help me with what crank and pistons and maybe even some heads i should get? i dont want the greatest parts but i dont want junk either? please give me links and prices and any advice you can... thanks

FYI, just watched the Detroit Auto Show on ESPN, and they had a stock motor without a s/c or having to spray it either. It was able to run 11.7 @ 125 mph in the 1/4 mile all day. It has 600+ horsepower and a little torque. ITS CALLED A 2008 DODGE VIPER!!!

to run 10's you are pretty much going to have to use the best parts if you want any reliability.

thats it just buy a viper engine, cut out the firewall move it back about a foot and a half to make roomand youll have that 10 sec mustang of your dreams but good luck getting it to hook

To get a 11 sec NA mustang it will have to be for the track only and run on 110 octane at all times and still have to spray meth. If you want the parts list I'll give it to you but it will cost you alot more then what you paid for that car.
