Having had both, they are both very similar all around. Sound is even fairly close. I was going to go with Flowmaster again on my car now, I like them even if it seems every Stanger around has them under their car, but I came across a recent special at Brenspeed on Pypes. I gave Pypes a listen on youtube and thought it sounded good and for the price ($150 less than Flows), I couldn't pass up the Pypes. I have no regrets buying the Pypes..sound great, fit great, and since I bought the full stainless system they are under lifetime warranty. Hope this helps. Nothing against Flows like I said, for me it just came down to the money this time.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I too recently bought an 04 GT and is looking for a good catback system. I know that SLP and Magnaflow's are the biggest names out there but I really don't want anything that loud because I live in a relatively dense neighborhood. Since I heard that upgraded catbacks won't do much to our cars I mainly want it for the sound, but again not that loud. Would the best way be to just get a different muffler? like a Flowmaster? Are the steeda catbacks any good?

Thanks

How would I go about installing them? Do they have to be welded on?

I see Flowmaster has the 40's, super 40's, and the super 44's. Wouldn't the super 44's the best

Pypes sound similar to Flows, but without quite as much drone. Has some but I can live with it. FWIW

I had flowmasters welded in..sounded fine. Replaced with stainless Mac catback. Sounded better. less "poppy", more "pure" sounding.
