remove engine
Need some help please. 1996 mustang gt convertible I need to know where to hook the lifting chain to remove the engine. I'm leaving the transmission in place.I was told that the Intake must be removed but didn't wantto remove it from the new engine. I know this has been addressmore than once but I'm some whatnew to the site. Thank you for your advice.
If you don't remove the intake you will have to go to the ford dealer and order the engine brackets that you will have to loosen the header, install the bracket, tighten header then lift the engine. Plus they cost you around $100. Just take the intake off.
hey yall, there is another way, just put a bolt in the back of the drivers side head, and one in the front of the passenger side head

There is a very good chance of destroying the intake by using that back hole. Plus getting a bolt long enough with a chain in there with the firewall right there is gonna be near impossible. Plus I assume he is swapping in a PI motor and that rear hole has the bracket for the coolant line.
