I stopped by my favorite local tire & exhaust shop today to try to find a new sound. I like my Flowmasers, but they were a bit too quiet for me. I kept the the stock H(car under extended warranty 'til 2011) and had a simple muffler delete using slightly oversized stainless pipe. WOW! I wasn't sure what to expect and I was a bit scared it would be raspy, but its not. Its realtively loud under throttle but very deep and much more quiet at idle and cruising.Sounds much better in person than You tube. I may get a costly cat back down the road, but this is good for now.

 

a lot of people hate str8 pipes... i love them.. i had them... now they gone bc of headers n that.. but when i had them.. loud and well loud i was haha loved it

 

Yea, everybody likes muffler deletes..for the first week. you start missing that rumble and quality roar.
One of the cops in my city has straight pipes on his 3v mustang, sounds pretty nice

 

I know the muffler deletes are very popular on 3v's It didn't cost much, my Mustang sounds different than most the other ones around here andif I get tired of it and decide on a cat back, I've not lost much.

 

personal opinion sounds like a truck... love my borlas.

 

i love my open pipes! cops will do a double take but o well! for 60 bux cant go wrong!

 

Speaking of cops, Iwas stopped at a checkpoint tonight and the cop didn't mention my exhaust. Of course I didn't rev it for him either.
