RE: NEED HELP ASAP ON GEARS!!!
In my opinion. I would put 3:73's in. They're a good ratio for the street and hiway.Gas is over $4.00/gallon. I don't think you want to be revving @ 3500 on the hiway !

RE: NEED HELP ASAP ON GEARS!!!
hey man it depends on how much highway driving you do, and what RPM you'd want to be turning at while your driving down the road too tall of a gear are great for accleration. But you also what a gear that would be comfortable for driving around town. You just need to know your final drive ratio and tire heigth. Heres a formula that would tell you what Rpm you'd be turning with a (X) gear ratio @ an (X) mile per hour

RE: NEED HELP ASAP ON GEARS!!!
I just put in 3.90 in my. I will be taking them out and putting in 3.73's because I can no longer go 80 and keep up with traffic on 95. 3.90's and going 80, the engine spins at 2900 - 3000 rpm. However, i will say that i do get 21mpg now

RE: NEED HELP ASAP ON GEARS!!!
I might be able to sqeeze out 105 redlining it but they are 25.3" vs stock 25.7" and yes my speedo has been recalibated. I would go w/ 3.73s if it were me. Note 4.10s gears really do notimpact your mpgs. Mine actually stayed the samewhen I was n/a. You will not be going 3500rpms on highway.
The reason Isay 3.73s is that you won't have to redline your caras often and they are pretty muchminimal difference in rpms between the two.

RE: NEED HELP ASAP ON GEARS!!!
Actually, that's not necessarily true. After putting the 4.10 gears on my car, I lost about 2 miles per gallon. I get about 30 miles less on a tank. But I still wouldn't complain. My car takes off like a bat out of hell.

jpickett07, Note that most people that are giving advice have 5 speeds.5 speeds and Autos are a little different. What type of driving do you do? is it your daily driver? this might help a little more for us to give you better advice.
