jpickett07, Note that most people that are giving advice have 5 speeds.5 speeds and Autos are a little different. What type of driving do you do? is it your daily driver? this might help a little more for us to give you better advice.
That's true, just a side note, mine is an automatic as well.

SoulBurn: Sweet car! but, you have a 5 speed auto. we have a 4 speed auto. your 5 speed has a better final drive ration then ours.

Yes, but I just got rid of a 04 GT with 4.10 gears. I was speaking for that. Not my 08.

I am stuck on the belt way a lot. Stop in go traffic every day. You would be fine with 4.10s or 3.90s. I used to get 17 - 18 mgp and now i get 21 mpg. The lower gears (3.92 and 4.10) are actaully better for stop and go traffic because it takes less power from your car to get it to move.

P.S. I would buy the ford racing 4.10. My motives whine. However, As I have been told, gears that are properly installed will not whine.

The Ford Racing Gears are what I've used and they're great.

Ummm.... I heard on another thread somewhere when I was searching for gears for my F150 that Ford Racing gears are made by either Motive/Presicison/or Genuine? I cant remember which.I know.... the 4.10's in my F150 whine like a SOB at 68+ mph. I later found out the the Geniuine gears were aka (GenuWhinnnnnne) so I upgraded to the Yukons, and same issue. (has to be install trouble)

Im in the same boat with wanting to redo the gears in my car. 00 Gt Convertible, 5speed. At 70mph Im running close to 2100rpms. Im actually thinkin about 3.73's, as Im almost certain I may spring for a S/C in the near future.

No matter whatwith thestock gears now, anything you decide to go with will have a descent increase in acceleration. My vote would be 3.73's! or 3.90's

I don't have any problem with a whining sound when I drive and I've had mine around 120 for steady amounts of time. I think it all depends on how it's installed.
