Just picked my car up from getting the Trans-Go shift kit installed and all I have to say is DAM!!! It kicks really hard going into second when it is on the floor and also into 3rd. I am really happy with the way it feels!!!!!

which kit did you get?? the HD-2?? and what level did they set it at?

Yeah I believe it is the HD-2, and I had them install all the spacers to make it the firmest shifts!!! I really like it, and can not wait to drive it home!!!!!

 

Did you order it directly from Trans-go? How much was the install and where did you get it done?

Yes, please post where you purchased your kit at and how much you snagged it for. Im changing out my tran fluid in 2 weeks and I want to put the kit in at the same time. I just hope there as easy to install on Mustangs as they are in Camaros. (crosses fingers)

 

OK guys I ordered mine from http://www.murrayauto.com/home.cfm and paid $130 for kit delivered. I ordered it from them because when I called Trans-go directly the said that they coule sell me one but the price was $165 + shipping, so they told me to look on their site and find a dealer that was close to me and order it from them. I also did a full fluid swap when they installed the shift kit and I put in Royal Purle trans fluid (purchased from 5.0 reso for 7.95 qt). The install took the shop 4 hours and cost me $350 (thats with tax included) I also had the shop install my trans cooler while they were at it. My freind and I put the kit it on our hoist. If you don't know much about auto's, i would NOT recommend doing it!

 

^^^^^ This is the reason that I took it and had a transmission shop install it. Talking to the mech. that installed mine, was telling me about a guy that tried to install one and fubar'ed it all up, brought it to them and they tried to fix it and it still was not running correct when he came to pick it up because it was that messed up.
