a buddy just got a 99 gt and wants me to ask some questions. he need links to chin spoilers, hoods, exhaust.

he bought the car with some work done to it. we cant figer out what the shifter is. the shift arm is totally round down to where it bolts up. if anyone knows what kind of shifter that would be please put in your .02 cents.

his mufflers are square so we think they are mac. but when looking at the mac mufflers they are painted black. there is not a trace of black paint on them. his speedo says 60 when we are doing 45. that sounds like 4.10s to me. please correct me if im wrong.

To measure the gears, turn the wheels with the car in the air, mark the drive shaft, and document the ratiofor therevolutions?

MAC Catbacks are no longer black, but a lot of websites still show them as black in color.

another thing i forgot to bring up is his rear suspension. in the rear he has 2 shocks on each side. one horizontal and one vertical. this is on both sides. is this stock or aftermarket. we know the springs are steeds so could this be a steeda kit? thanks

The two rear shocks is afactory thing. The horizontal one I believe is called a G support or something, someone can correct me.

For the exhaust decide which you want then get it from a distributor,there are some on eBay.

Like Jbauer said, MAC catbacks are have an "aluminumized steel industrial finish" now, so it could be a newer MAC one. Look at the front or back of the muffler and look for the mac logo.

flowmaster, mac and magnflow all have sqaure mufflers along with vortec which is a low end muffler

the shifter u are refering to sounds like a b&m pro ripper. its rounded all the way down til it gets bolted in and the plate on it is blue

easy way to fix the gear problem is to buy a speedo gear from any site listed above. latemodel is 90 bucks for a 99

and the side shocks are called quad shocks.. feel free to taske them off once your buddy gets some good upper and lower control arms.

they are usless after that as they are fords band aid for wheel hop.
