xpipe question

Default xpipe question

how hard is it to install an xpipe by yourself? i had a buddy try it once and he had a hard time with one of the bolts. if you guys had any input or pointers for me that would be great.

If you have any mech skills, you will be ok. Just make sure you have the proper tools..

PB Blaster, 2' extension, a swivel, a 15mm deep socket, and a 12 pack of the brew of your choice.

The night before your install, soak the bolts with the PB Blaster and then spray them again before you start.

Use air tools if possible. Use heat only if nessecary.

+1 the brew of your choice, though now I can have a mid-pipe swap done in probably 30 minutes. The first time is the hardest, after that it is easy as pie.

the hardest part is breaking the nuts so give 'em a good soaking the night before while it's still warm

heat wouldnt be that bad to use.. if u wanted to be safe.. pb blaster then some heat b4 u take them off and u should be good

Not hard but the Mid pipe/ Header connection bolts are usually a huge PITA .. nothing a little muscle and a breaker bar can't defeat though.

just get some pb, and an air gun... map gas if you need it. jobs easy as ****

I just ordered a bbk x, is there a gasket i need to buy for inbetween the exhaust manifold and the x?

Yes, there is a gasket for the passenger side only. You can get one at pretty much any auto parts store.
