Default Reverse Light problems!!

Hello all! I have no reverse lights, and yes I've checked the fuse, bulbs, switch in tranny, and the groud in the trunk, still no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also, could it be that the shifter isn't pushing in the little ball on the switch in the tranny? If so , is a huge PITA to fix? thank you in advance!

Sounds like you've checked it all. When you say you checked them, did you actually remove the fuse and look at it. The reason i'm asking is because when i installed a car alarm, after the install i could not figure why it was not working.....After pulling my hair out, i pulled the fuse and although it looked fine, i replaced it and the damn thing worked. Or you could just call the ford house and see if they will help you.

yeah, I used to be an installer at Best Buy. I checked it visually and with a multimeter. Also checked the switch in the tranny with my meter, it was fine too. I'm so lost, can't figure this out for the life of me!! lol

Right behind the intake is the wiring harness connection for the tranny sensors, big square one. Make sure its still pluged in. I forgot to plug it in when I reinstalled my motor and the reverse lights wernt working.

Thank you very much! I'll look at that tomorrow when it's light out. I've never messed with anything around there, but it's my last hope that I have now, checked everything else. I'll repost to tell ya what I find! Thanks again!

If you have a circut tester you can always turn the key on put it in reverse and test where the reverse light switch in the tranny is and work your way back.

yea i already tested the switch in the tranny and out, it works fine. Also there is definately 12 volts going to the switch. The fuse is def good and so are the bulbs. It's become tough to trace the wire back though. I know from the wiring diagram it's a blank/pink from the bulb to the switch, then after the switch it's suppose to be an orange wire.

You checking for ground also? And you're sure you're making contact in your tranny?
