Clutch Help
So my clutch started making noise today. 40k miles on a King Cobra cluthc. When I touch the pedal it makes a slight squealing noise and changes pitch about midway through the range and then stops at full depress. It makes sort of a whirring noise when fully depressed. When let out completely there is no noise and the car transfers power just fine with no slipping. I stopped at my mechanic friend's house but he was not home. Once I leave there it did it one time and the noise went away. WTF?
Any ideas? Is this a throw out bearing going bad? I had everything replaced when it was installed and I've never had clutch problems in any car so this is new to me.
TIA for the help.

RE: Clutch Help
Sounds like a throwout bearing noise. But usually when the clutch is fully released is when the noise is the loudest. Keep an eye on it, if it gets worse and more distinct it's most likely the TOB. If it is, you've still got a few thousand miles at least before it really needs to be changed.
