I was looking at the CDC shaker kit install and noticed it looks like its made to fit over the stock plenum. Does anyone know if it will fit a aftermarket C&L plenum? If not is there any remedy for it? thanks in advance.

That question would be best left for the CDC tech service # on the CDC site.
Call, they will be able to tell you what it should fit.
Here's mine and the one side touchs the plenium and it is tight and needs just a little pressure to be bolted.

Cowl ftw unless you really want the shaker. You will spend the same or less amount on a hood and paint. The shaker is definitely a cool thing but it seems like a lot of cash to shell out for it.

It was the shaker or the cobra R hood. I like the S281 extreme hood but it's too damn expensive! I thought shaker would be nice but not if I have to put on my stock plenum.[:'(]

I think that the cobra R would be best. Also, if you want to sell the car later on, you can just swap the stock hood back on and sell the aftermarket hood for some extra $$$.

With the round shape of the C&L as opposed to the boxy shape of the stock plenum, I would assume it would fit better.
