Default that was the fix

i reped the alt last week, and all is good now. starts fine, batt light no longer comes on, and the p340code went away never to return. im glad the i found all this info on the net, im sure if i took it to a shop, they woulda tryed to drain my bank account.

crank sensor, cam sensor, alternator, or any aftermarket electronics can cause the code if they werent installed properly...

i didnt read the page so i may be repeating what every1 already said.

So yeah we had that same problem. I took out the alt and check it and you were right it was bad!! Thanks for the info, so check the alt before paying $54 dollars for a camshaft sensor!
