Default NEW BBK 78mm Throttle Intake

I have never seen or heard ofthis until today, figured some of you haven't either. Seems like the best bang for the buck, and gives some more airflow for those of us with a little more boost than the standard 8-10 psi. Plus, it flaunts the SOHC! LOL. At least its cheaper to buy just one cam than two...

"Another Design and Patented Performance first from BBK Performance – This all new BBK 78mm throttle intake incorporates a high flow intake plenum and a larger 78mm BBK throttle body all in one great performing unit.

Add 12-15 horsepower with this direct bolt-on.

This patent pending design has all the quality features you would expect from a BBK product - built from lightweight 356 aluminum castings this kit comes complete with all necessary hardware and horsepower!"

I Didn't mean to be curt. A lot of people type so fast they forget their point and don't say what they mean.

And, I highly doubt it really adds that much HP as a direct bolt on. 3-4 maybe anything else would be tunning related optimizing the better flow. On boosted cars, you will always see a great result from basic bolt ons.

yeah....there were threads on this back when it first came out.

if you dont already have a TB/plenum setup, then it seems like a good deal.

if you do already have a tb/plenum, then i dont think it would be worth it to try to "upgrade" to this for the 3 extra mm.

just my 2 cents on it.

I totally agree with both of you guys. The 3mm isn't worth swapping out a 75 for, nor will it net you any big hp without a blower, thats just kinda commoncarsense, butsome do not have that on here, I understand sometimes it has to be stated. As for it already being posted, I guess I missed it, lol. I want to swap out my stock TB before i put my vortech on, and finding a new (to my knowledge) TB/Plenum combo from BBKi was impressed.

Sxynerd,
Its all good man, i know you had good intentions, just trying to cut the sh%t out of MF.
Thanks for your help with my last post, I am just getting the little things together for the blower install now. I saw a video of yours on streetfire, now i really can't wait to put my vortech on!

yeah if you still have your stock tb/plenum setup and are wanting to upgrade it, then i say go for it. its cheaper than buying the 2 seperately, plus you get the extra BIG 3mm! hehe really tho....i would do it. just make sure they/it isnt on back order before you order. i recall seeing a post a while back from a guy mad b/c he ordered it but they told him it was on back order.
