Cobra Shifting Problem
So I just got an 04 Cobra last week. When I get on her in3rd and go to slam it into 4th it always seem to jump back into 2nd. Would this be a problem with the stock shifter? I don't know if it has an aftermarket shifter or not. I bought her used and haven't really gotten a chance to check out what's done to it. Would a Steeda or Pro5.0 fix this problem for me?
how does it shift when driving normally. if it shifts ok. Maybe your just not used to it yet and are accidently shifting to second. Please don't take it the wrong way im not trying to bash your driving. A shifter may help out and give it more a solid feel. As for what shifter to use im not sure. I'm not familiar to what works best with the 6 speed in the cobra.
It shifts fine when I am just driving normal. Maybe you're right and I just have to get use to it. I was planning on getting a new shifter anyways, so maybe that will fix it when I do. We'll see.
I have no problems with mine. I would suggest going to a pro 5.0 anyways. The stock shifters are not all that great and do have a tendency wear down the transmissions faster. The after markets are a lot smoother and have a lot less slop.
