timing adjuster question...
I have a MAC timing adjuster and as of now i have it set at 4 degrees advance, now in their ad is says "up to 10 deg adv and up to 10 hp" now does this mean i will get 10 hp @ 10 deg adv??? So what is my total advance timing with the adjuster @ 4 deg?? and what is the best spot for the adjuster (deg. wise) to be set at?? thanks
as with anything: your mileage may vary....
i believe stock timing is 10deg advanced, so you are at 14deg advanced. hopefully someone will confirm or correct that.
the 10hp claim is merely advertising, your mileage...........
if you were able to get a hold of race gas, perhaps you could go for a full 20degrees advanced and you'd certainly net more than 10hp. 14-15 degrees advanced (running premium fuel) could certainly get you 10hp.

You are supposed to run premium all the time because the timing is advanced... ie: prevent detonation.
