what do you do if your programmer is stolen?
I had a Hypertech programmer for my 2002 GT, and sometime within the last week it was stolen out of my garage. I was scheduled to take my car in next week to have a knocking valve looked at. I had heard that if they hook up the car to do a diagnosis the car will read error codes if not taken back to the factory settings. Does anyone have any advise please.

The first thing I would do would be to contact Hypertech and alert them as to the stolen unit (serial # etc. if you have it). It won't be worth anything to anyone married to your car. They may contact Hypertech looking to get it unlocked. While you are talking to them ask them where to go from here, a nearby Hypertech shop might be able to retrieve the custom tune and flash an OEM tune for you.

Do you think the Ford dealership can reflash the computer to factory specs?
