Default lowering help

Im about to lower my 97 gt conv. and i just want some tips. how low should i go. i also need new shocks all around it. what should i get thats not to expensive.

ford racing c spring 1 1/2 inch drop and ride quality is still good

Any name brand kit will do. Eibach, Steeda or Ford C... YOu wont need new Shocks or Caster Camber plates till you lower it 2" or more and the less can be fixed in an alighnment.
