373s are killing my times!

RE: 373s are killing my
the control arm/subframe package looks to be a steal but i personally wouldn't get it. i would go with UPR's chromoly CA's and maximum motorsports full length subframes for best results. the MM ones are almost 20 inches longer then the ones in ^^ that link and have mounting brackets to where the subframe connects to the torque boxes. IMO is worth the extra few $$ if you want to see best results.

I always heard Nitto were a good tire....they are right about the heat that will def affect your times. What 60' times are you getting that would tell us alot. before and after post some slips so we can look.

315 nittos handled my old650hp kenne bell. your suspension sucks for drag(your suspension is to stiff). I had moroso trick drag springs, full length subframe connectors, no front sway bar, HPM adjustable upper and lower control arms, stock rear springs and shocks, and lakewood 70/30 front struts. if you know how to launch right you wont have a problem. I also had 3.73's.
If i launched wrong it would spin to mid 2nd then of coarse shifting it would spin a tad depending how hard i shifted. If i launched it at 1500rpm it would spin out of the hole and i didnt go ***** out slam shifting it. never had to, i did powershift once 3rd to 4th and snap'd an input shaft(26spline now)
learn to launch it right. for instance if its reving at 2,500rpm on a launch leave your foot were it is(part throttle) when you launch it. then after you get out of the hole and your not spinning mash it. if you have a sct flash programer you can actually make a two step rev limiter. so on the line you can have the rpm's sit at a desired rpm.
Also dont overheat the tires. you dont need to sit and burn them off. hotter doesnt always me better. nittos just like every drag radial you should just be able to flash them a couple times and your good to go.

for example this guy had an awesome suspension/tire setup.....only problem was he put a locker in it and it would only lock up once in awhile and it never locked up past 30mph.plus he was an average driver.

Those times are not bad....great r.t .436, 2.0 60' not bad giving the mods... I say learn the new gears...and play around in it have any time slips from this past run with the gears?

Also, what RPM are you shifting at? I was shifting at 5200 before my 3.73's, and when I tried the same after my 3.73's were installed, I lost .1 on my 1/4 times. I got some advice to shift it higer, between 5700-5800 and I picked the picked up a consistant.4 over what I was running at shifting at 5200.
