Default intake manifold

so i blew the intake manifold out of my 04 GT. i was looking at the professional products kit that rpm outlets sells for 600 bucks. It comes with 75mm tb, satin/alum manifold and a c&l plenum.. my question is, is it worth the money and is it a good product? i have heard good and bad things about PP.. I was told it would help out with my VT stage 1 cams..all info is appreciated.

it will definitely help for one and is a good price imo. i have not heard much about them for the 4.6 motors, but we have used one of their intake manifoldson one of our 5.0 cars and it worked pretty well.

i wouldnt get Professional products. I put a 75mm t/b and plenum fitment sucked. that intake is nothing more than a cast stock style intake manifold. if you get it port it out a bunch inside. I would get the trickflow oval t/b style then get a take off 03 04 cobra t/b. and there you got a awesome intake. or you can get the edelbrock one that you have to get an adapter plate etc to get it to the stock plenum. edelbrock wouldnt hit $500. pp is 600(they use to be higher but no one wants them so they threw in a t/b and plenum). hardballer is a stock style intake but actually flows. BBK is coming out with a killer intake this fall.

but i love my logan motorsports one.......$1,600

if your going to get PP intake kit. you should just go get a stock intake manifold and get the new BBK 78mm t/b and plenum(all one unit for $250). It will out flow the PP intake kit.

If I were you I would just go with a stock PI manifold with the aluminum cross over. I always read about these aftermarket manifolds and how people are extremely disappointed with their results for the money spent. Especially since it sounds like you are not running tons of boost/nitrous, just stick with the PI.

i would stay away from the bbk all in one 78mm American muscle was saying that people were losing 1 to 2 tenths in the quarter since there is to much air going in unless you have a power adder

btw i love my trick flow intake manifold
