Default 2004 Hinge Problem?

On my car, if I open the driver's side door on level ground, it won't hold itself open! Whenever I get out of my car I have to take one hand and hold the door open so it doesn't slam back onto my legs. It looks like the roller bushing is worn out on the door hinge. Has anyone had this problem before or had to change this bushing??? Thanks.

What do you mean it could slam back onto your legs? you mean when you push it open, it just swings back and tries to close? lol

Yea, exactly. The bushing that stops the door to hold it when it's open is worn out somehow?

Mine still hold, just replace the moving parts in the hinge area (and grease it all up to stop squeaky doors in the future!). When you get the new parts, compare what has worn out and determine if there is anything that you can do to stop it from happening again... then report back and help the community!

There is nothing replaceable in the door hinge a new hinge is what you will need. In fact i just changed my lower door hinge today... It was a real pain to to but well worth it.
My door would sag and try to slam into my legs too.
if anyone needs tips on the hinge swap just let me know.
