Default Finnaly gettin a stang

Guess its time to join the Mustang group after looking for so long...

Anyways, hope to become an active part of your community with my soon to be acquired 1998 Mustang GT with only 46k on the clock, and you gota have the 5 speed!

Sorry to be the newbe but what would everyone recommend for maintenance on this car? Its the lowest mileage car that I have ever owned and haven't had a chance to look in any manuals as i don't have the car yet... I'm use to buying high mileage oil, don't think that I will need to do that this time around (at least i hope 46k isn't high mileage lol). Maybe just a list of some things i should look into to make sure the Mustang stays in tip top running condition. (sorry, I'm almost sure everyone will think this is a worthless post...). One thing that i have never delt with is a Leather interior, whats the best way to maintain that? Guess i should stop ranting and end the post so someone might acctualy make it all the way thru... lol

Thanks,
Riggs

Damn, didn't expect replys that fast...

PI swap would be out of the question until i get out of college lol. Would be awesome though.

What would everyone recommend for oil? synthetic? don't really want to get into a brand war or anything but your welcome to make a suggestion...

I don't plan on doing any mods to it since its mint condition and hasn't been modded, plus i don't want to take the chance of ruining it...

Also if someone could chime in with Leather care that would be cool too...

Thanks,
Riggs

For leather, I use Meguiars Gold class rich leather wipes, they seem to work pretty well, just wipe the leather down with a dry cloth afterwards.
For oil, I usually use Motorcraft oil with a Motorcraft FL-820S filter

check the seals and bearings on the axel, mine only had 65K miles when i bought it but i could see some oil leaking out of the front pinion seal.
