Default 4.6 EGR Delete Plate

So i bought some new Pypes Long Tube headers and the part on the header (driver side)that connects to the EGR pipe didnt have a Male end on it and when i called them and asked where the part was they said they dont supply that part. So they said to get this...

http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=806

Should i just get this? Would it be bad to delete this pipe..? If i did delete it would i not be able to pass inspection??

any info on this product would be nice

tahnks guys

It's ok to delete that. I won't mess with your car passing the test.

you'll have to turn off the egr or the check engine light will be on.

You may want to retune. You cant run as much timing with the EGR deleted in most situations.

The EGR reduces the NOx released into the air. It also is used to take up space in the combustion chamber so you can use less of an a/f mixture worsening performance. If you just delete the EGR with out a retune then your car will not run right in off idle driving, it doesn't effect it on a cold motor or at WOT.
