Mark VIII 4v Swap?
I've just stumbled on the chance to get a Lincoln Mark VIII 4v engine with only 78000 miles on it for $800 with the wiring harness. The engine is comming out of a totaled car(rear impact). I'm just wondering if this engine swap is worth doing. I know I can get it to fit in my car and probably find 96 cobra heads for 300-500 and swap them out too. The way I see it it's the cheapest way to get a 4v motor swapped into my car. I'm only worried there is something, or a few things I am overlooking. So if this is a horrible idea please let me know.

your car will be slower than it was with the 2v lol unless you put that procharger on there

in addition to the cobra heads you will need the 96-98 cobraupper and lower intake, imrc's, t/b,cold air intakeand throttle cables from a cobra

The Mark VIII heads are exactly the same as the 96-98 Cobra heads. They're B-heads. The difference is the intake manifold, camshafts, and the crankshaft. The Mark VIII even had the Teksid block.
I have a mark viii motor too and I'd like to rebuild it pretty soon. Anyone have a list of what I'd need to buy to complete it?? I'd just like to go through it and clean all surfaces. Also, seals, bearings, etc. etc. I'm not sure where to start.
