RE: 97 gt 03 engine swap
I have an 03 engine in my 97 too. Its the same as putting in a 97 engine but your going to use your 97 wiring harness and coils. You will also need to use the 97 alternator. It to me a day(morning to night) with my buddy and I. While we had my old one out we sent the fly wheel to be re done and a new stage 2 clutch. We also put long tubes on it so we dropped the kmemeber...The swap is the same as the 97 engine.

if i were you i would get that motor take the heads and intake off do the pi swap its going to run better than the 03 motor because of the increased compression.and then while you play with that build the 03 motor and drop it in when yourdone with it

so in other words i would come out better as far as the money and time spent working to have the heads on the motor in the car presure checked, and install some new head gaskets.....and maybe some cams while im at it?

yes, but i am also talking about getting some porting done to the heads while you have them off. It will benefit the cams if you have the money to do all of it.
