Suspension Install
Hey Guys,
About to install my eibach sportline kit tonight. How long should it take for the entire car? I was thinking about 6 hours.I got all the tools i could ever need and me and a few buddies are gonna throw the springs on. Any thoughts??
Thanks
Zach

RE: Suspension Install
6 hours?! Maybe if you've never done it before and take a whole bunch of breaks. It should take an hour and a half for the first side in the front, then about half of that for the other side since you know what you're doing. Then similar for the rear, but probably a bit less. All in all I can't see it taking more than 3 or 4 hours, especially if you have all the tools needed.
BTW, where in CT are you?

RE: Suspension Install
6 hours is a bit much...
me and a buddy of mine installed my tokico shocks and struts and "c" springs, in one shot. it only took about 2 1/2 3 hours....and we werent hurrying...and took about a 20minute beer break after finishing the rear.

RE: Suspension Install
The times above are pretty close, but hey, it's no race. Just take your time and they will come out easy and safely enough. It might take a little of a balancing act with jackstands and jacks, but it is easy enough.
When I did mine by myself, I was a little weary about the rear springs because they were not coming out. Once you have the shock loose and differential hanging, don't be afraid to literally kick the springs out of their perches. Once you remove the jacks from underneath andhave the rear or front suspensions hanging, there really is very little unsprung weight.
