Default Ported and Polished Throttle body

Please read this and tell me what your opinion is on it and if you think it will work. Im found a person that can port and polish your stock 65mm throttle body. He says it will give you up to 5-6 horsepower. I want to get a new one but this is way cheaper than spending 180 bucks. If you know anyting about this please write back.

Personally i would just spend the money on an Accufab 75mm because they are made perfectly, look amazing, and increase 11 ponies. But hey thats just my opinion.

I too would just spend the money on a tb/plenum steup and you will see more gains than you would from just polishing your stock tb. Check out rpmoutlet.com they have some great deals on CAI/tb/plenum combo's.

unless you're gonna port the stock plenum too, forget it man. 75mm TB and C&L or accufab plenum = kickass!

There is no way that any T/B on a non supercharged car is gonna give you 11 hp, flywheel or rear wheel. The biggest gain I have ever seen on a RWHP dyno was around 2-3 hp for a car with full exaust and intake work.

Porting it isn't gonna do much either.

They have dyno sheets showing around 11-12 RWHP with a 75mm TB and plenum combo, I htink that is what he meant.

Got a link to that dyno sheet?

Sometimes the added power is all at the very top of the RPM range. And if you usually shift before getting to max RPM then you'd never see the extra ponies, and have wasted your $

i think its around 5k rpm.... i shift at about 5500 when im power shiftin. i had someone in a civic compliment me on my turbo one day last week too. the TB/plenum makes a loud whistle noise just like a turbo is spooling up... pretty cool sound!

Go with the c&l plenum and what ever tb you want, with the c&l plenum get a 75mm tb, if you get any other plenum get a 70mm tb
