Okay, I am bringing my car to the Ford Dealership tomorrow to finally get every single freakin problem that my car has fixed ONCE and for all.

1. Clutch will squeak when fully released (moving or standing still) and "tick" when fully depressed (only when moving)

2. When coming to a 5mph-0mph controlled stop, the brake pedal vibrates. I removed ABS fuse and it stopped. ABS fuse is currently in. Also, if you coast the vehicle after the pedal vibrates a steady clicking comes from the front passenger wheel well.

3. The thermostat in the gauge cluster reads fully hot after 2 minutes of the car running.

4. I need a 50,000 mile check-up done

5. The car needs new transmission fluid. Synthetic is preferable.

6. Upon coming to a stop from 20mph - 0mph, the brakes squeak slightly.

7. When backing out of a parking space and turning the wheel LEFT, occasionally a loud scraping noise is heard.

8. When I first start the car and begin to go forward, if I turn the wheel LEFT, there is a very faint "thud" that comes from the front of the car, It can be felt in the steering.

9. There is slight play in the steering wheel. I had steering rack bushings replaced a month or two ago. The steering rack itself, I was told, didn't need to be replaced.

10. When I pump gas into my car, it does not matter how full the tank is, the pump shuts off like the tank is full repeatedly. A few times, I had only put 5 gallons of gas into the car (the tank size is 15) and it clicked off and spilled gas everywhere from underneath the rear fender. I went to check the fuel level in the car and it was only 1/3 full. The car has had a new fuel pump and seal installed, I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem.
[/b]Okay, please someone give me SERIOUS estimates on how much you think all this crap will cost and what maybe might not be totally nessecary because it's so expensive. I realize it's hard to know exactly how much all this will cost becasue you don't know exactly what's wrong but.. based on your experience what do you think?

woah don't get all pissy. Just sounds like you are having a lot of problems with the car. The first issue was buying a car that you knew had been beat on for 45,000 miles. Something about spending 8,000 in repairs justdoesn't soundsmart. Also they probably will diagnose all the issues you have for 90 bucks but could turn around and tell you that its this and that. You have to remember that a dealer is looking to make the most money possible so that means they will suggest replacing this and that. I'm just saying when all is fixed maybe you should consider turning around and selling the car before anything else breaks. You also have a good selling point with the fact that the motor is practically new.

Sorry, I just have been through more than I would like with this car and it makes me frustrated. I still have hope for Mustangs, and still love them because I know they aren't normally this un-reliable... I just got a lemon. I am in a predicament because I don't knbow what to do with the thing. People drive the car and say it's fine but I notice everything.... The tranny shifts pretty good, but doesnt like reverse (got stuck in reverse twice!) So I guessing by next year it'll probably be time for a new transmission... I know what can go wrong, and I just don't know what to do.. I'm 18 and trying to enjoy my life but this car ruins everything, it's the reason I worked 2 jobs for a while, and also.. it blew up 3 days before I left for college. So I hope you can understand my frustration[sm=icon_flaming.gif]

1. Throw out bearing is bad. They have to drop the tranny and exhaust, at least $400
2. new abs sensors probably around $200
3. its a dummy guage who cares
4. do it yourself
5. labor will be 4 times the amout of the tranny fluid
6. change your brake pads for $30 ford will charge you over $100
7. what size tires do you have and is the car lowered?
8. is your car lowered?
9. is the car lowered?
10. get a new evap valve in your tank yours is stuck.

Bottom line ford will rape you like they did on the engine install. Any other shop will drop in a new motor for $600.

o I deff understand your frustration. I'm 19 and bought my own caras wellso i know the feeling of hearing noises and people thinking your just overreacting. If your serious about sticking with this car try doing as many other people suggested reading up on how to change your transmission fluid. It'll save you a few hundred dollars so that when you go to the dealer you'll have one less thing to pay for. If you do the tranny flush successfully try doing the spark plugs and other minor things yourself. Worse comes to worse you'll find you can't do it and just take it to the dealer. Try to save as much $ as possible i know being a kid in college money is tighter than a pair of spandex on a 400 pound fat chick.

You are a god amongst this forum.

1. Son of a B****.. god it's annoying. Here's a video of it I took: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MGL-LH1C4A
2. Are you sure it wouldn't be a "Solenoid?" Why does it click like that?
Here is a video of it I took a few weeks back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbbJCe4Il8g
3. I care I am a perfectionist! Can't help it.
4. What does it consist of? The spark plugs are brand new, air filter brand new, and duel filter band new, oh yeah, and I ran fuel system cleaner.
5. Idk how to change it.
6. The brake pads and rotors are brand new
7. 245/45/17.. stock size.. the car is not lowered
8. The car is not lowered
9. The car is not lowered, here is a video of the play in the steering. It's a little dark, I know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmqwM9fe3ek
10. How much do you think it will cost? I had the fuel pump replaced a while back, and they had to install some $30 seal.. Idk if that has anything to do with anything...

man you are talking alot of work. The average dealership charges around $90 an hour for labor. You can count on them most likely keeping your car overnight so Thats about 2 days work at the minimum for 90 dollars and hour. It's hard to guess because the noises could be nothing major or something huge. So i would have to guess ur hovering in the 3 to 4 thousand dollar range if not more. To give you an idea i had my timing chain assembly done at a ford dealer. It cost me 1200 and it was only there for like a 4 hours if i remember correctly. Sounds like its time to sell the stang if you don't owe any money on it. Take the money you get and use it to put a downpayment on another mustang. I am completely guessing on the price maybe someone here who might work for ford or is a mechanic can give you a better estimate. but good luck anyways.
No way. I had my motor put in at the dealership and labor alone was $1,600.. and that was for nearly 18 hours of labor.. there is NO WAY this work will take 18 hours of labor. What they will do at the Ford dealership if diagnose everything for $90, and tell me where I stand and what is worth getting fixed. I can't sell the stang.. I am in such a predicament because all the work that has been put into the car will be considered worthless. I have paid over 8,000 dollars in repairs for this car and everything is almost fixed. Why get rid of it?
18 hours to put a motor in...lol to be honest they should be able to drop a motor in in about 2-3 hrs, do a full motor swap in less than 5hrs easilly. I would not take it to the dealership, they will rape you. How bad are the problems, are you just being picky. It's a mustang it's going to make som odd noises and act funny at times.

Yeah, I mean I know basic stuff. I took apart the top part of my motor and took off the valve covers to check my timing chain once. I Put it back together okay with the exception of a vaccum hose I found that error quickly and hooked it up. I change the oil, the filter and stuff by myself.. but I never knew how to do the tranny fluid.
