Default Subframe connectors: full length vs half length

A friend of mine has an extra set of weld-in CJS subframe connectors lying around. He wants to sell them to me for $50 (never installed still in the box). My question is is it worth buying these half length connectors or should I just shell out the extra money and buy the full length weld-ins? This is a DD street car that will very rarely if ever see a track.

If you have a coupe then they will be fine. Severe duty verts like myself would be better off with full length. 50$, you can't go wrong.

Get the full length subs, half length are expensive paper weights. For subframes I'd go with either MM or Griggs as with any other suspension part, main reason is every part is tested and garaunteed to fit. With subs if you have to bend the subs a little to get them to fit your undercarriage then your gonna twist your chassis out of alignment. Our unibodies are very weak and the subs need to be just right otherwise they just wont do what they're designed to do.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but all this talk about our new edges having weak a weak chassis is reallyworrying me...

Are subframe connectors necessary for a stock or mild bolt-on car? Even if I hard launch it? Or is it only for if and when my car becomes badass?

Thanks,
Brandon

SN-95's have a horrible unibody chassis lol. It's very prone to flex, and I recommend full length subframe connectors to anyone as one of their first mods.

Oh. Is there a particular brand I should go with? I see people say MM and Griggs are the best but I checked out the Griggs website and they had several packages. The more complete one said something like it would not interfere with the seat height?? Does that mean they dissassemble the interior and put it underneath the carpets or something? I thought they just weld them to the bottom of my car.
