I'll do it for a hundred bucks. It's really simple.
90 for bearings? I bought my bearing at cost (I get all Ford parts at cost) and it was 17.62.... that just shows you what kind of mark-up they use at the stealerships. But 10 for the synthetic fluid? hahha, send me about 30 pallets of that because I could make a killin up here. Mine was 14 dollars a jug, and i needed 3 jugs, and then 5 bucks for the additive for the limited slip unit.

plus , the guy i had do it, wants me to bring it back in so he can change out the fluid, and remove all the material that was sure to break away during the first miles.. for free too awesome

I got mine done at the Ford Dealership(I wanted a warranty) The gear was $180 and the labor was $460.00. There robbing you, find a different dealer. I've had no problems, and that was 3 1/2 years ago. They gave me a 1 year/12,000 warranty.

they still left the warranty for doing that? my dealership wouldn't do that, they'd void that shat quick because they KNOW it has it done now. they won't do the work for any aftermarket of my car without voiding it. my dealership is shat. ask anybody who lives in northern, VA and got their car from ted britt. ARSEHOLES!

Can’t you just flash the ECU with a handheld tuner to automatically adjust the speedo? This mod is really adding up in cost – turns out the gears themselves were the cheap part. I am going to keep on calling local shops for quotes – I’m in no hurry and need to save a few bones for the install costs anyhow.

The $300 charge for the speedo calibration is a definate ripoff. You can buy a tuner for less than that if you shop around and easily recalibrate the speedo, as well as perform numerous other functions with it.

I reflashed mine w/ my predator. I had my warranty in writing. I think within a years time
you'll know if it was done right. Again, no problems since JUN02. I think it was worth the money, but Im not mech. inclined to do that type of work to save money.
