Default Ticking Noise

Well I was out having fun in my car andmystalled. I fired it up and have a loud ticking noise at idle and while driving. It's not a knocking noise. I was really close to my house so I go it home.

ANY thoughts to whatthis could be? My car is going to the shop tonight. Rockerarm or camshaft???

Post a video.

My guesses: Wrist pin.. not cool. I'd have to hear it seirousely though.

This is a video of my car back when I spun a rod bearing. $5,500 later she is almost a champ.

Yours sounded more like a knocking whereas mine is a ticking noise. Thanks for the post. Hopefully I will find out the deal tomorrow as it is at my buddies shop.

Well the story goes like this... it turns out the my cylinders are marked up and # 4 cylinder is cracked. Some how the sparks plugs closed shut and #4 plug was bent. I drove my car really hard all the time and this is my net result.

I think I am going to garage her for sometime year or two to save save up for a forged block, patriot stage II heads, custom cams, built rearend. Any recommendations for with a reasonable priced block and what heads should I go with. This car when done won't be a daily driver anymore and figure all this is going to cost a fortune to do it right. With stage II heads and custom blower cams will this add another 70-80 rwhp with 11 psi? I am thinking keep the psi alone and hope to eventually have close too500 rwhp.

I will be going car shopping this weekend for a nice leasemaybe a saab or something reasonably priced per month. I just don't want to lay out 8-9 to fix her and would make for a good daily driver.
