MIL problem

Default MIL problem

hey guys, i made mil eliminators yesterday for my 2000 mustang gt auto. cuz i put on a mac o/r h. but they dont work, i disconected the battery, put the mil eliminators in, hooked the battery back up started it up and 2 miles later they kicked on. is there something i did wrong, my eliminators are ok cuz im a good electrician so i doubt thats it, but did i miss a step or sumthing? thnx for the help guys.

How long did you have the battery dissconnected? It takes about 10 mins to clear the codes.

i had it disconnected for like 12 hours cuz i disconnected it at night i did the mils and put them on the next morning, then i started the car up. the cel was off for about 10 miles or like 15 min. then it came back on. i need help cuz i dont want to fork over 400 dlls for a tuner just yet.

WhatDTC is being thrown, are you sure the rear O2 sensors are good?[/align][/align]The MIL eliminators are just RC filters with a corner frequency of 0.1 to 0.5 Hz or so, theyattenuate the signal from the rear sensors(and introduce some phase shift) so as to trick the PCM into thinking the cats are there and functioning. Obviously this requires that the rear sensors be working.[/align][/align]What component values did you use, how are they wired in (wire colours of what's hooked to what)?[/align][/align][/align]

yea the sensors are good because the codes werent kicking up bfore the o/r h pipe. and i put a 1mohm resistor on the gray line and then a 1 m ohm capacitor connecting the gray line to the black line. and the capacitor is closer to the i did it exactly like that palladin.com guy. thnx for the hlep guys

Are you sure the code is for the rear sensors?

yea i had auto zone scan it and it came up with two codes i dont remember the code numbers, but one said my evaporative system is messed up, and that my rear o2 sensors were reading slow

CliffyK is that Palladin guy you're talking about. I've made a few Mils from his design for a couple friends cars and I haven't had any problems yet.

does anybody have any pictures of them all soldered up but with no tape on it just to make sure i did it right
