what can a stock motor handle hp wise?
what can a stock motor handle hp wise?
The block itself can handle much, much more.

400 to play it safe... but yeah 450 is possible too. There is no guarantee though, ever. I would run a good 350-380 You can blow those internals at 350. (not likely at all, but can happen)

maximum horsepower it will "hold" all depends on supporting mods. You can't just state it will make xxx horsepower safely without saying what mods it would take to get there.
With your current mods I would not feel safe over about 375 WHP on a dynojet. Get a midpipe and catback and you could see 385+ depending on how agressive you get with the tune.
Your stock clutch won't last long on this power level, definatly need to upgrade. So far as all the other stuff, everything you need to run "safely" should come in your kit, ala injectors/pump/maf etc. Suspension wise, you can run around on stock suspension (I did for almost a year) but its going to be pretty slippery in 1st/2nd, and not make good times at the track. On the street with a set of drag radials you can definatly get away with stock suspension though, I out launched plenty of cars with 420 WHP and stock suspension + a nitto.

Your engine can hold alot its all in the tune you can blow your motor now if you have a bad tune. Its not really how much hp it has its about how lean you a/f is and if you have detionation.

it all depends - mine went boom with 390 wrhp on a mustang dyno = 400-410 on a dyno-jet and crack a piston after 3500 miles but i drove her hard as I loved the boost. I recommend forging it once you hit 380 + rwhp.
