Default mass air flow?

i bought a cold air intake that came off of an 02 and the mass air flow has 2 more prongs inside where my plug on my 98gt only has 4 places for the prongs. if i put it in, will it mess anything up?

i would imagine the difference is the newer maf has an integrated iat sensor. in that case, as long as the maf is calibrated for the same size injectors. you should be able to steal a plug off an 02 gt and wire your iat sensor into the new plug.

As long as that maf is for 19# injectors you are fine. That is an 01-04 maf with an intigrated (spelling) IAT sensor. You can do one of 2 things. Either remove your stock IAT and run the wires to the new maf or leave your stock IAT and not worry about it.
