car not starting...
Alright, I have a '04 GT auto and I'm starting to have problems, and one of them is my car not starting. It won't turn over or nothing..not even a noise. The battery is still good and is giving off a good charge and all my electrical components in my car work i.e lights, radio, gauges.. I don't know what else to do. I've tried rocking the tranny back into park, even tried starting it in neutral...nothing! Any suggestions?

I would check your clutch-in switch. If your car is a manual it will not fire unless the clutch is in and if the sensor is bad it will not fire even with the clutch in. Also, make sure that the starter is properly attached to both the "hot" wire and the ground. Lastly you can try to see if the car will start on its own by taking the starter relay wire (located near the battery) and touching it to the ground side of the battery terminal. If it starts that way, you have isolated that it is clutch/steering column related.
PS - The starter relay wire is a white/red stripe wire that has a cylindrical pigtail. Again, it is located near the base of the battery near the fuse box.

the starter is located on the passenger side of the engine. Your gonna have to crawl under the car to see it. looks kindalike the one on the right in the pic. http://www.dariusrudis.com/mustang/t...es/starter.jpg
You can try hitting it with a hammer and see if that gets it going. But your gonna need a second set of hands to try starting it while you hit it.
